Elect Ginny Ehrhart State Representative HD-36

Meet Ginny

I am honored to represent House District 36, which includes portions of western Cobb County, a community I have proudly called home for more than 45 years.

As the daughter of a U.S. Army Lieutenant Colonel, I was raised on military bases across the country before my family eventually settled in Cobb County. I attended Osborne High School and later graduated from Auburn University with a degree in International Trade.

Throughout my career, I have been blessed with a variety of opportunities that have shaped my perspective and strengthened my commitment to public service. I taught high school economics and American government, homeschooled my children, and built a successful small business. I also became a frequent speaker on regional and national television and radio, sharing my passion for Southern cuisine and hospitality. As a television chef and home life consultant for FamilyNet Television, I authored two cookbooks, Sunday in the South and Seasons in the South, and hosted a popular weekly lifestyle radio show on Atlanta’s 920 AM.

My experiences as a hands-on small business owner, educator, entrepreneur, wife, and mother have deeply influenced my conservative principles and approach to governing. I believe in supporting public safety, fostering a pro-business environment, and strengthening educational opportunities for our children. I strive to bring a practical, common-sense, and solutions-oriented perspective to the Georgia General Assembly because I believe that is exactly what the people of our district deserve.

My husband, Earl, and I live in Powder Springs, where we enjoy spending time with our six grown children, four grandchildren, and our talented Australian Shepherd, Dixie.
